Statistics from The American Institute of Stress
Stress is traffic on the BQE, student loans, caretaking for a sick or elderly relative, thinking of the future, remembering the past, the dark, no money, unemployment, loved one’s addiction.
Stress is a physical and emotional reaction that people experience when they come face to face with challenges in life. It has also been defined as a state of worry or mental and physical tension caused by a difficult situation. If stress were embodied in an animal, it would be a constrictor - non-venomous, camouflaged, squeezing and suffocating, affecting blood circulation. Ironically, a group of boas is called a knot. And that’s exactly what happens physically inside your gut – knots.
